hmmm..

well...i m really trying my best to stay happy today. the attempt was quite ok in the morning. but the mood started to go down after lunch. becos that was when i started to feel the presence of loneliness again. dont ask me where my friends were. i dont know. i really dont know....

seriously really want to thank to those who wished me happy birthday one way or another :) people who take the effort to say happy birthday through msn, sms, friendster testimonial, facebook wall...ya. this year i have even received wishes way early before today. appreciate them, no mattter whether the message was sent becos they thought my bday was on 26th, or any other reasons. and i dont blame people for not remembering it or not wishing me. i understand everyone has one's own life, people can be busy, can be stressed at this time. so ya..i am glad for what i have received so far, especially from those who are far away from me (far away means you are not in kl, not possible to meet). thanks for the effort

my next class starts at 4pm. now is 3.43pm..should i leave the computer lab now or what? hmm..

yes i should go now. continue next time then

ending

today will be the last day of my stay in KL. wil be going back to JB tomorrow for CNY. will only be back to KL again on 25/2. my new sem starts on 26/2

these 2 weeks in KL..had quite a lot of fun. there always seems to be not enough time for all the things that i want to do. i got my laptop reformatted, joined the orientation, met people that i wanted to meet (eventhough i didnt manage to meet all), got my share of movies (but i still miss out some), bought quite a few things and used up quite an amount of the money i earned last month...and i still havent really started to clear up my room. i am supposed to clear up the things and bring back some of them since i will be going back in a car, if not i dont think it will be quite possible for me to move all the things back to JB on my own. will try to clear up later

tomorrow is Chinese New Year Eve..almost everyone around me is excited about it. but not me. i dont like CNY eventhough i am 100% pure chinese. because CNY doesnt really bring happiness to me. people are celebrating, filling excited and yet me..i have things to worry about. i always just hope that nothing too bad will happen and CNY can pass smoothly. how can i like CNY when it actually brings worry for me? how can i enjoy it when those people who are really close to me are not enjoying it? haih....just hope that everything will go well tomorrow and i can get back home as soon as possible

think i should get started with my life

what a day

sometimes i am really glad that Lady Luck can be there for me when things dont go too well...

today i wore my new sandals out. started to feel the pain when i was walking to my uni after my visit to Sunway Medical Center in the morning..the straps of my new sandals were cutting my feet. ya..a normal problem which people usually face when they wear new shoes. if i continued walking on, the straps would definitely peel my skin off. as i walked on and started to worry about how bad the condition would be, the yellow shuttle bus which i could take to go to my uni appeared. thank god..didnt have to walk anymore. how lucky...

in uni..while i was thinking about the things that i could in order to kill time, i bumped into my classmates who were having their presentation for their summer course subject. i went for their presentation, and then joined them for lunch after that. really glad that i could bump into some friends and didnt have to be alone anymore. another lucky thing...

after my friends left, glad that there were a few movies available for me to pick at that moment and the one i picked wasnt too bad. i watched Protege (门徒), starring Andy Lau, Daniel Wu (吳彦祖) and Louis Ku (古天樂). this is one of the new movies which has just been released today. the story was about how an undercover cop tried to arrest a drug seller. during his operation, the undercover cop met a single mother who was a drug addict and was trying hard to quit drugs. he saw how drugs ruined her life and how tragic she finally died. at the end, he inherited the drug seller's business after the drug seller was arrested while he continued to be an undercover cop. he lost his true self between the drug world and justice. quite a sad movie. it showed how cruel the reality can be. how drugs can really destroy people's life. it was really scary and disgusting to watch how the single mother died due to drug overdose and later how the rats fed on her dead body. lucky that i didnt pick something boring

after the movie..while i started to worry about how i should get back home, i got a call from my youngest cousin who happened to be in the same shopping mall as me. this meant i could have a car ride home instead of taking a bus or a cab. this was the best news of the day i should say. really lucky..

glad that all these lucky incidents happened despite certain things which didnt go well today. they made me feel better

not too bad

the orientation programme has started. yesterday was the first day, today is the second, tmr will be the last day. quite fun..but quite tired too haha. yesterday i was standing for about half a day basically. was ushering the new students to where they were supposed to go, and then back to the multi purpose hall to help out. today i was in charge of the business students, not much work for these group of students for today..actually i cant help them much, because i am a science student and i am not familiar with things related to business course. felt like meeting the science students, so i went to help out those who were in charge of the science students after i was done with the business students. felt great to meet science juniors, especially those taking the same course as me hehe..helped two of them to allocate their timetables, and joined the campus tour. tomorrow i will be bringing the business students around for the campus tour. glad that my partner is a business student, at least he will be able to answer more of the students enquiries. hope tomorrow will be fine. this orientation thingy is really quite fun. looking at those new students, i cant help but to think about my own orientation 2 and a half years ago. and time really flies, i am starting my last semester already..yet those new students are just starting their first semester. i am leaving soon but they have just arrived. and next semester they will start using the new campus. old campus? history and a memory i guess..changes are always part and parcel of life

tommorow is Valentine's day. going to spend most of my time in uni. cant really feel the atmosphere here in kl. dont really have the 'love is in the air' kind of feel. last time when i was back in JB, i could just feel the atmosphere by just staying at home and watching tv. but when i am back to KL, i cant really feel much of the atmosphere. couldnt even get the feel eventhough i was in the shopping malls these few days, not to say on tv. maybe is due to CNY. the CNY feel has covered up the romantic Valentine's day feel. haih...

tiring day..but was brightened up by some minor little things :) hope tomorrow will be good. Happy Valentine's Day

thoughts. an outing.

just finished a movie a while ago. they were showing this movie called 'In Her Shoes' on tv, starring Cameron Diaz. i thought it was just another comedy, but actually it was more than that. it was a comedy based on family values, about 2 sisters from a sad family who were really close. Cameron Diaz was the younger sister, hot girl type. and her elder sister was the strong girl type who was really protective of her sister. this movie was about how their close relationship was affected by a mistake made by the younger sister but at the end their relationship recovered and each of them, as well as their family, had a better life. the movie was quite sad actually, the family part was really heartbreaking..but there was still humour, and a happy ending. quite a sweet comedy

finally went through some of the photos i took and now can finally talk about the outing to Singapore in December last year. went there to meet 2 of my new friends, Ding Ying and Han Yang. got to know them in some 'special' ways hahaha. had never met them in person before, only know their looks through their pictures. so decided to made my way there to meet them.
we went to Vivo City, the new shopping center in Singapore. walked around, had lunch there and chat. we went to the food court there. i have never seen such a beautiful food court, the decoration was really nice. it has a traditional chinese look, with all the old wood furniture and some chinese traditional things, like the chinese masks and the costumes for the chinese opera singers. all the stalls were also decorated nicely, the woody kind of stalls, like those by the roadside in the past. and they have a lot of nice red lanterns. wanted to take some pictures of them but missed the chance. maybe next time :) Vivo City is really quite a nice place, you can go out to the open and opposite the shopping center is actually the entry to Sentosa Island. so you can see the sea, feel the freeze. that afternoon the weather was quite good. very sunny. liked the breeze. quite a nice place.
after Vivo City, Han Yang suggested that maybe we could go to Labrado Park, which is a natural recreation park. They have a forest there, and the park was by the sea. really liked that place :) took most of the photos there. and there was where i started to take the photos of my 2 friends, from their back hehe..with or without their knowledge. ya sometimes i do tend to take people's photos from their back, while they were standing or walking in front of me. have you ever wonder how you look like from the back? to me, i think it is quite special..natural, because i didnt tell those people when i am taking their pictures. if i tell them, then the feel will be different already i guess. i got this idea from a japanese drama hehehe..anyway really have to thank my 2 friends (and sorry that i didnt tell u all sometimes when i was taking the pictures..). and Ding Ying tried out the idea too, and she called it a romantic way of taking pictures hahaha. what a nice name. had a great time at Labrado Park. it was evening when we got there..and really didnt feel like leaving. but i had to go back to JB, so couldnt stay too long. left the park around 7pm

great

initially didnt plan to go anywhere today. but ended up meeting 2 people and watched movie with them hehe...met them at the same place but different timing

met Yong around 1pm plus. actually we only spent a few minutes to plan the outing. after about 2 hours later both of us were at the meeting place already. spontaneous..so good. dont really like dilly-dally kind of planing. we watched Pathfinder. it was a warrior type of movie, about this Viking boy being raised up by the Indians (i mean the red-indian kind of indians, not the bollywood kind of indians) and how later he helped the Indians to prevent them from being killed by his own kind. the story line was quite normal and predictable, but not really dull. it was spiced up by the fightings and the blood spills. plenty of snow in the movie, and the indians even had 'petai' haha (in case u dont know what a petai is, it is a type of bean-kind vegetable and 'petai' is a malay name for the thing). the movie wasnt too bad. before the movie, we had some time to kill, so i did a little bit of shopping and bought a cd :) Overloaded by Sugarbabes. it is a collection of the singles by this group of girls. hope it will be nice

after the movie, which was around 5pm, got a call from Jia En. so we met up for another movie. we watched Death Note 2. it was a continuation of the movie, Death Note, shown some time last year. it is a japanese movie based on an anime (if i am not wrong) and this sequel is the ending of the story for the first movie. it was about how a death god made use of human beings to kill their own kind. to me, i think Death Note 1 was better, because there were more excitements. the purpose of watching the sequel is more for people to know how the story would end, rather than expecting a lot of new things and more excitement. nevertheless, i like the twist and turn of the story. you wont know the story would finish until the very end of the movie. Death Note 2 was not as exciting as Death Note 1 but still worth watching

both the meetings were fun. had a great time with each of them :) coincidently, i watched both of the movies in the same movie theatre hehe. same seat number too but different row. and they were really nice, willing to wait for me while i did a little bit of shopping. felt a bit bad about that..thanks for the little patience :p

great day indeed :)

excited

just reformated my darling laptop. feel so good! hehehe..because i went through the reformation process myself. now i know how to reformat a com :) my elder cousin is too busy to reformat for me, so on wednesday i decided to bring the laptop to his office and let him teach me how to do it. reformatting was quite easy but installing back the programmes were tedious. to keep doing windows update is even more tedious! only get all the work done today. cant imagine how long it will take if i am using dial up for internet connection. but i am quite happy throughout the process, looking at the brand new condition of my laptop, and the updated version of my programmes such as internet explorer and windows media player. i am having internet explorer 7 now, dont know how new it is but to me, it is very new. so happy :D currently i am left with my wireless stuff, microsoft office and acrobat reader. will definitely have to install all these before my new sem starts. hopefully everything will be fine then :)

tomorrow i will be going for the training for the buddy programme set for the uni's new students. one buddy will help out one student. and my dearest good friend is coming over to my place :) hope tommorrow everything will be fun!

another good thing: i am going to start clearing up those movies that i want to watch very soon. great hehehe

the days are getting more and more fun :) hope the excitement will keep going on and on

what i have been doing

back to KL since 3 days ago. what have i been doing? hmmm..

have been working on my blog for these few days. wanted to have some changes. added in some new things that caught my attention..took me quite some time to finish up the changes eventhough there isnt much changes actually, because i am a perfectionist. i want everything to look as neat as possible but i dont really know how to adjust them. i have no idea what html codes are, dont know how to modify or create the codes in order to arrange things the way i want them to be. and i dont want to give up. so....i had been doing some trial and error, and finally found the answers to my questions about html codes through google. should have used google long time ago instead of trying to figure the things out myself. sigh..stupid. but i am glad that at least now i have some tiny little knowledge about those codes and they are actually quite interesting. it is always fun to learn new things

finally get eveything done on my blog and now i can start posting. plenty of things to talk about but i have posted nothing since i came back. sorry about that. will mention about them one by one once i go through the photos that i have taken for the past few weeks, so that i can show you the pictures together with the stories. havent really looked at the photos, thanks to those html codes. will get down to it soon

have been listening to this song called Hate (讨厌) for these few days. this song is originally sang by Rui En (芮恩), a singaporean actress/singer, but one of the contenstants for a show called Project Super Star (the Singapore version) sang it during the competition and it sounded really nice. but too bad, i couldnt find a copy of the song. can only watch the video on youtube and listen to the song online. cannot keep the song. show you the video of the contestant singing that song, and also the version of the song sang by the original singer

Hate by Diya during Project Super Star 2006

(the song followed by some comments from the judges)

the lyrics are quite cool but i am too sleepy to translate... sorry :p

quite a cool song. i like it. you like it?

bed time for me..zzZZ
